Citrus, the note like no other   The citrus notes wear many different hats in the scenting industry as a fragrance, it has been used in a lot of essential oils, cleaning products, and perfumes. The depth and complexity of the fragrance have many variations that contribute to its powerful crisp and clean scent, with a wide range of different olfactory notes. The fragrance is characterized by its zesty and fresh notes that are primarily best for the spring and summer seasons. The obvious fruits known in most scents are sweet orange as well as bergamot, lemons, and grapefruit. You can instantly smell the vibrant and enchanting blend of the citrus scent as a top note when you diffuse.    The Citrus olfactory family   Citrus is representative of a uniquely large family of highly volatile scents. The very first appearance of the citrus fragrance was as early as 1370, with a perfume called “Queen of Hungary Waters.” It was first created for Queen Elizabeth I of Hungary and is believed to have contained notes of rosemary, sage, cedar, and bergamot. What is interesting about this fragrance was that it was the first alcohol-based perfume in all of Europe and is considered the first modern perfume ever produced. Bergamot is known to be a perfumer’s favorite note and is commonly used in the citrus family, being a hybrid of lemon and bitter orange. Most citrus notes are paired with spicy, woody, and floral notes. Some other main distinctive fruits used are clementine, yuzu, citron, and verbena, that are all dynamic notes.    Fun Fact: The oldest perfume is still in production, which dates back to 1533 and is called “Acqua di Colonia,” with its main note being citrus.    What is so great about Citrus?  Besides being the vibrant top note, the citrus note illuminates any scent and brings out its freshness. Take Control of Your Demand

It’s not news that casinos and hotels use some ambient scenting to enhance the guest experience. In casinos, scent can mask the smell of smoke or stale carpet, but carefully chosen scents can do more than that – they can make people want to stay in that space for a longer period of time, which makes them participate in a casino’s activities, restaurant, and entertainment options longer. In hotels, a scent can be chosen to create an increased perception of quality. Now, brands of all kinds are seeing that they can employ the same tactics and reap the benefits of scent marketing. Brands who are looking to influence their clientele are shocked by the simplicity of the science, process, and execution. Aroma360® scent consultants take the time to consider multiple factors when creating scent concepts for clients. Scent Consultants inquire about the brand’s goals, identity, imagery, personality, target market demographics, geographic footprint, architecture, and more to personalize the scent solution. Traditionally, gimmicks such as baking cookies or pie have been deployed but new research has shown these scents can be overwhelming and may even serve as a distraction to the home-buying process. New research states the best way to scent a space for a potential sale is by introducing a clean and subtle scent. The best scents for scenting for a sale are citrus, green tea, cedar and pine. What is an Essential Oil?

We get so many questions about what exactly is an essential oil so we thought it would be great to explain. An essential oil is a volatile liquid that is extracted through the process of distillation from the seed, root, bark, stem, leaf, fruit, flower, resin or wood of a plant. In literal terms, essentials oils are the ultra-concentrated essence of that plant. Once extracted, these oils can then be used for inhalation, ingestion, absorption and for creating all kinds of products. These oils have a lot of health benefits. The are delicate so they should never be heated. Using them with a cold air diffuser will provide the best results!!
